Hip to gable conversions
Hip to gable Loft conversions has become very popular in recent years, this is because hip to gable loft conversions no longer require planning permission and can be carried out under the new permitted development rights.
The two main points for permitted development are that the volume of the extra roof space created does not exceed 40 cubic meters for a terraced house and 50 cubic meters for a semi-detached or a detached house and that the exterior materials are similar to the existing materials.
